Misc Gav

We take so many pictures of Gavin; here are a few favorites that haven't made other posts. Above, we all wore red on Sunday because of Valentine's Day. Below, I love Gavin's smile for his dad. Here's another cute picture of Gavin in his swing, smiling up at himself in the mirror.

Below, Gavin is interacting with Grandma's massive skein of yarn. The outfit Gavin is wearing below was sent by my Dad's sister Veone. I love that it says "mommy's major hunk"--it gave me an excuse to be photographed with him. He wore it when we picked Grandpa up from the airport Saturday night. I'm not a fan of cammo as fashion, but both Grandpa and Gavin looked great in their cammo. ;)And I love this last photo of Gavin on Jacob's lap while watching TV. Their expressions are pretty much identical, no?

out of Afghanistan

My Dad is finally finished with his 15-month deployment to Afghanistan!!! We're pretty excited for him to be out of there, but even more excited that he's visiting us here before heading back to the USA!!Oh, and I'm pretty sure my Mom is happy to see him too. :)

a ski trip (of sorts)

For my birthday Jacob gifted me a ski day, so we went to SnoZone, an indoor ski facility (because England has no outdoor skiing options). We were also happy to take advantage of my Mom being here to hang out with Gavin (which she was overjoyed to do--I think she would keep him if she could).
Skiing indoors wasn't quite the same as in the mountains, but we might be skiing in the alps next month, so it was good practice.

Growing Gavin

Gavin is 10 weeks old today, so we thought it would be fun to post a few photos that track his growth. (Forgive a couple of the photos from previous posts.) The first set uses his bathtub as a measuring device. Here he is at 2 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks.

The next 2 pictures use his bed (and the gorgeous blanket my boss Paula made him) to measure growth. He was 3 days old in the first photo and nearly 10 weeks old in the second (it was this past weekend). We've also blogged about his happy place: the changing mat. So we have lots of pictures of him there because that's where he's most likely to be smiling. First, at 3 weeks old, then one from this morning at 10 weeks old.

Gavin and Grandma

It's so weird calling my Mom Grandma! But not only is she a grandma (as of last October), she's my own child's Grandma... And she met him when she arrived last Thursday. So far I think they like each other a lot. :)
