8 months

Gavin is 8 months old today! Here are a few photos of the last month. [Things he's eating in this post: cookies (above), a chip/fry, cucumber]

when crawling isn't enough...

Gavin pulled himself up on this Pampers box and "walked" around the living room for a while tonight. The videos aren't the best (he gets distracted by the baseball tee in the second video), but we were pretty impressed!

Toothiness

Gavin's first tooth has appeared. It's only barely poking through his gums, but we can definitely feel it if we stick our fingers in his mouth. It's proven surprisingly difficult to photograph. For a dude whose mouth is almost always open (because he's sticking things in it or smiling), the gums remain pretty well hidden.

First movie

On Friday night Gavin saw his first movie in the cinema--Cars 2. Yes, we realize he's too young to enjoy it; and that's even clearer to us after taking turns holding him at the back while he tried to go to sleep. But the movie was cute, and it was a fun first for Gavin.

yoga practice

I think his expression looks very peaceful in the above photo--like he's finding some inner peace. I hope you enjoy Gavin's yoga poses in this post. (And just so you know, I'm not making fun of yoga at all--I LOVE yoga.)

What are these idiots doing?

first cookie

Gavin ate his first cookie today. I fell prey to the marketing and couldn't resist when the package said "7+ months." In my defense, there are no artificial colours and no preservatives. The below videos are pretty cute. The first one is his very first taste, and in the next video he shows what a kind person he is.
