her half-birthday!

We can't believe it's Sophie's half-birthday! She's the absolute sweetest baby, full of happy squeals and smiles. Here are my favorite Sophie photos from this past month.

We love this dress from Aunt Emily & Uncle Bob!

(where she may have had her first taste of whipped cream)

The biggest change in Sophie's life this past month has been adventures in "solid" foods (Is there anything solid about pureed fruits and vegetables?) She's loved green foods, sweet potatoes. and watermelon. But mostly she's a fan of holding the spoon herself.
She didn't like the rice.

Troy strawberry festival

We went to this festival last year and liked it so much we decided we'd return. It was fun, and we enjoyed a few strawberry-themed foods. The deep-fried strawberries were one we didn't have last year, and they were delicious! (I think they piped some butter cream into the strawberries before battering and frying them. Mmmmmm.)
Probably the main reason we returned this year was for the strawberry doughnuts, which the festival is famous for. They were incredible! Gavin ate 2 in about 2 minutes, then asked for more.

Immediate beverage is required following one of these doughnut delicacies.
While we were eating the doughnuts, Sophie was munching on her toes, as only babies can.

these feet: cute, but not as cute as
the ones above it
After a couple hours of fun, Sophie did another thing only babies can do: she fell asleep in Daddy's arms. So sweet.
