Cinque Terre

Saturday we visited Cinque Terre (Italian for five lands) and enjoyed fantastic views of the Italian coast and these five adorable villages. In addition to the great views, we also enjoyed the best gelato we've had in Italy (pictured below) in the village of Vernazza. The region is also famous for its focaccia bread (also pictured).

We did that same hike and enjoyed it. We actually swam in the water too, Emily a bit more that me at the time. But we ate gelato right where you guys did and played frisbee in the water. It was very nice.

Sounds like your trip to Italy was much nicer than your last one. Glad to see you found some good food along with great sites!
I think it is great that the brother have both taking the same walk and experienced the same places at different times! How cool :)

So very jealous of you getting to travel all over Europe, but especially getting to visit Tuscany/Italy. I can only dream of ever getting to do that. :-) Hope all is well. I have a new (used) car that I am going to be trying out at the end of the month--going to Texas. Megan turns 8 next week and gets baptized on August 1st. I'll send you a picture. :-)
